Lockdown post 4
Manchester city centre one evening during the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown in May 2020.
An evening walking around Manchester city centre just after lockdown had been relaxed. The city had a quiet buzz about it. The weather was incredible, people were taking the opportunity to enjoy a bit of outdoor space and having spent 10 years living in city centre apartments I can totally sympathise with them all. There was a great feeling about the city, like the Sunday evening session at Glastonbury. The sound of someone playing saxophone from their apartment followed me for about half an hour as I strolled through a very quiet and surreal Manchester just coming out of lockdown. It felt like the whole city was just taking it easy and enjoying the space and freedom.
