Helvellyn - via Striding Edge

Helvellyn via Striding Edge, a Lake District classic. This belter of amounting is about twenty minutes from home and offer s a choice of routes. The best, in my humble opinion, is Striding Edge to Swirral Edge. I was walking with a couple of friends and we chose to exit via Catstycam. In good weather conditions, it offers great views and some nice scrambling. Not a mountain to be underestimated and, sadly, these ridges have claimed many lives.
