Photographing a wellness retreat for Mens Retreats UK.
The wellness space is incredibly important and fast becoming loved in the UK. One company that I now do photography for is Mens Retreats UK. They provide mens wellness retreats in the form of one day and weekend retreats. Working on these wellness retreats has been a profound journey that has not only opened my eyes to the incredible work that these facilitators do but also helped me as an individual. I have made strong bonds with many of the men on the retreats, shared their stories and been part of their journey. Documenting what happens at a wellness retreat is a delicate process. I have to tell a story, document the events but stay in the shadows so as to keep the participants at ease. This requires a degree of participation from my part whilst balancing a degree of sensitivity with my photography.
